Abstract: Historical consciousness, as an object of History Didactics, deals with the relationship between humankind and time. Starting from the present, humankind interprets the past (experience), constructs historical thought, and projects the future (expectation), thus giving meaning to their lives. The advancement of humanity and technologies causes changes in sources, tools, and the historian's perspective, also reflecting in the transformations of historical knowledge. Digitization is a tool for preserving and disseminating history, and some content is already generated digitally. It is generally agreed that this procedure facilitates storage so that current and future generations have access. Research with digital technologies is innovative because it allows online access to all historical research, including digitized old documents. This Thematic Axis calls for researchers on Digital Technologies and Research in History, as well as Digital Humanities and Historical Consciousness.
